Nighthawk RAX80 Router Configuration Interface

One of the most interesting features of the Nighthawk RAX80 router is the web-based setup interface. Once you connected to the router, the web-based setup interface is accessed by entering the default Netgear nighthawk router login credentials.

When the RAX80 web-based interface is loaded, it will display the following tab: Setup, Wireless Security, Application and Gaming, Status, and Access Restriction. A few variations in the menu tabs might be observed depending on the other Netgear Nighthawk models. You will find all such menus in Nighthawk app  for pc as well.

  • Setup–Entry path for the setup of Internet connection, MAC Address clone, DDNS, and advanced router features.

  • Wireless–Entry path for MAC filtering, wireless security, and both basic and advanced WiFi settings.

  • Security– Configuration of the Netgear router’s firewall and VPN service.

  • Access Restriction– Setup for restricting outbound or inbound Internet traffic, network computers, Internet hosts.

  • Application and Gaming– Permits internal application servers for the Internet, management of quality of service on the local network, and setup of DMZ feature.

  • Administration– Netgear router troubleshooting, security and logging features, Netgear router default configuration and testing.

  • Status–Shows the local network, wireless network, and router’s connectivity status.

Tutorial to Set up Nighthawk AX8 8-Stream WiFi 6 Router

Step 1 – Connect the Nighthawk RAX80 router to an electric power outlet and wait for the device LED to turn in to the solid green.

Step 2 – Connect your RAX80 router to the modem with the help of an Ethernet cable.

Step 3 – Connect your  Nighthawk router setup  to the computer.

Step 4 – Run any of the web browsers on your computer and visit routerlogin web page.

Step 5 – Enter the Nighthawk default router login credentials and hit on the ‘Log In’ button.

Step 6 – You will land on the Nighthawk router web-based interface.

Step 7 – Follow the on-screen prompted instructions to set up your RAX80 as per your requirements and needs.

Step 8 – Once done, hit on the Save button to apply the changes.

Step 9 – Press Windows + R key and type CMD in the box.

Step 10 – Type ‘ping google.com’ and hit the Enter key.

Step 11 – If you got respond back something similar like mentioned-below, then you have successfully set up your Nighthawk router.
